The Canadian Television Premiere of
Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars

Our Viewer Relations department has been inundated with e-mails, phone calls, letters and postcards clamoring for this highly anticipated mini-series, which finally brings closure to the Farscape phenomenon.

Astronaut John Crichton was sucked down a wormhole to a distant part of the galaxy and into the middle of a battle. He was rescued by a group of escaping prisoners and taken aboard their ship, a living ship named Moya. As the years went by, Crichton made powerful friends and dangerous enemies. Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars continues the adventures of astronaut John Crichton and his intergalactic comrades. Crichton and Aeryn Sun want their baby to be born and to live in peace, however, they will first have to survive an all-out galactic war between the Scarrans and the Peacekeepers.

Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars is directed by Brian Henson, written by Rockne S. O'Bannon and David Kemper and stars Ben Browder (Crichton), Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun), Anthony Simcoe (D'Argo), Gigi Edgley (Chiana), Paul Goddard (Stark), Wayne Pygram (Scorpius), Raelee Hill (Sikozu), Jonathan Hardy (Rygel), Lani John Tupu (Pilot), Duncan Young (Staleek), Francesca Buller (Ahkna), Melissa Jaffer (Noranti), Rebecca Rigg (Grayza), David Franklin (Braca), Tammy MacIntosh (Jool), Hugh Keays-Byrne (Grunchlk), Sandy Gore (Muoma), Ron Haddrick (Yondalao), Linal Haft (Maryk), Nathaniel Dean (Jothee), Stephen James King (Pikal) and Tim McCunn (Caa'ta).

“It's been a while since I've enjoyed a good cry watching a TV show. You find yourself responding emotionally not just to the grand courage, the soaring romance and the giddy wit of its space heroes. You're also overcome by the creative brilliance of Farscape's gifted writer-producers, who achieve such epic effects on a small screen and in such a compressed time frame. And, last but certainly not least, you're inspired by the remarkable triumph achieved by the show's fans, who rallied with unflagging determination and resourcefulness to keep the show alive after Sci-Fi's appallingly short-sighted decision to dump the show at least a season too early. I cried while watching Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars for a number of reasons. I was touched by the story and captivated by the spectacle, but I was equally moved by being reminded of the power passionate fans can wield in the face of colossal corporate blindness.”
- Matt Roush (TV Guide)

“What separates Farscape from the far duller sci-fi norm is its belief that characters in space should be as complicated and sometimes as irritating as they would be on Earth. They have conflicting emotions and goals, good days and bad days, and even a sense of humor. They're fully alive, right up to the moment they're not, and that's a warning for fans to brace themselves. Good job, Scapers. Enjoy your handiwork.”
- Robert Bianco (USA TODAY)

“The fans have spoken. They frelling love their Farscape. The two-night, four-hour Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars on Sci Fi on Oct. 17-18 @ 9-11pm ET/PT premiere averaged a 1.7 HH rating/1,916,000 P2+, making SCI FI the #1 non-sports cable network for P25-54 and P18-49 for the time period over the two nights. SCI FI trounced its competition among P25-54, out delivering TNT (24%), TBS (45%) and Spike TV (42%). They fared no better among P18-49, with SCI FI outperforming TNT (32%), TBS (27%) and Spike TV (35%). Peacekeeper Wars delivered an aggregate audience of 6,883,000 viewers over the two nights (4 telecasts of Night One, 3 telecasts of Night Two). “
