Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars

Alright, everybody... got a minute?? Need your help a moment...

What?
We need everybody to take a moment to write to National TV critics in the US, to remind them about Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars.

Why should Canadians do this?
Because we buy their magazines and read their newspapers and our voices should be heard too.

Why now?
Well because it's been almost 7 months to the dot since Peacekeeper Wars aired on The SCI FI Channel and the critics are in the process of putting together their recommendations for what they think is deserving of Emmy Nomination. We think you'll agree that it's probably been a bit of time and they've watched a lot of tv this season. We're gonna do them the favor of issuing a reminder.

How?
Well, a postcard would be nice. So would email. Just a short little reminder note... we don't want to slam them, just a sweet little reminder.

And if you're going to discuss the fabulous qualities of the mini, make sure to remind them not only of the great drama, writing, and acting but also about the makeup, special effects, costuming, etc.

Who?
The National TV critics. This would include TVGuide, USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, Hollywood Reporter, etc.

Here are the addresses for the few national ones that were noted above:

Entertainment Weekly - Letters to the Editor

You can remind EW that they included Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars on it's "137 People & Things We Love This Summer: THE MUST LIST" via email at Entertainment Weekly or via snail mail at:

Entertainment Weekly
1675 Broadway
New York, NY 10019. USA

Correspondence should include the writer's full name, address, and home telephone, and may be edited for purposes of clarity or space.

TV Guide - Letters to the Editor

You may want to remind them that Matt Roush made Farscape the #9 on best of 2004 list. Email at TV Guide or via snail mail at:

Letters Department
TV Guide
Radnor, PA 19088 USA

Hollywood Reporter - Feedback Form

Fill out the feedback form on the Hollywood Reporter Contact Us page or snail mail:

Michael R. Farkash
5055 Wilshire Blvd.
Los Angeles, California 90036-4396 USA

By the way, Michael R. Farkash had this to say about PK Wars when he reviewed it last fall:

"Imaginative, visually impressive… giddy humor… legitimate drama… a fine ensemble of actors… the outer space visuals are elegant and compelling. … Best of all, there's a thundering good climax".

Wouldn't hurt to remind him of that would it?

USA Today - Letter to the Editor

Robert Bianco was very supportive of Farscape, both the series and the mini-series.

Write a letter to the editor at USA Today and remind them that Robert Bianco wrote in his review of PK Wars that "Peacekeeper is that rare dramatic exception: a reunion that not only lives up to the original but also may even improve upon it ... A crowd-pleasing sci-fi spectacular ... more comedy and a stronger emotional punch than you might ever imagine."

P.S. If you are looking to tailor some of your e-mails and letters to specific writers, check out the thread Critics quotes re: Farscape on Frell Me Dead at Watch Farscape, then search the thread for your specific writer.

We would like to thank harveywhispers for lending us this information and Ms. Spocks for compiling it for the press kit project.

Remember - you need only write one letter politely reminding the critics about Peacekeeper Wars but you can send it to all the addresses.

Go 'Scapers!
